Bisti De-Na-Zin

This is a magical area, a very good website with information can be found here.
I tried to separate the pictures in areas of interest.
How to get there ? See the map below; it is pretty easy (other areas of the badlands are not that easy to drive to. I stayed in Farmington and drove south on NM 371. I m pretty sure there is a sign pointing to the dirt road that takes you to Bisti from the highway. A left on the highway and then another left at a T junction. The road is graded dirt and I bet when it rains it is a mess, but the road is short (I think to recall about 2 miles total).

Let's start (I am attaching a caltopo map at the end of this page).

This area is located to the right of the hill that everyone uses as a reference to enter the area. Looks like there is nothing there, but on a cloudy day I explored it and found nice formations. You just enter a wash and just explore without forgetting where to got it since the mounds of dirt will cover this area from the rest.

Going further North you will find an area that you can loop and find larger structures (including a large tree trunk). Then you can retrace your steps and go up to another wash to the northwest, where you can find more named wings.

Note: the green path; I did not take the right side of the loop. I mapped it in Google Earth, but I got there I did not find an easy access, so I just retraced my steps.
